Am I an artisan postcard tycoon?

No, as much as I would love to say that I was a tycoon of artisan postcards, I am sorry to say that I am not. I am, however, a humble sole-trader who likes to draw and who is now looking to open channels and sell my postcard prints to any shops or retailers willing to stock them in their range.

As an artist, I am ever tapping into my imagination and feeding my inspiration from my environment. My inspiration comes from a range of sources, whether this be for historical pieces, horror, figurative, folklore or something else entirely.

With my wholesale postcards, I wanted to create artwork that was accessible and affordable. Not all art is affordable, and some people feel a bit of art in their lives.

As mentioned above, I am looking to sell and supply my cards to those who are interested. Either smaller or larger quantities.

Where am I based, and where would I supply my postcards

I am based in Ampthill in Bedfordshire, grew up in Looe in Cornwall, and lived in Carlisle and London for a period of time. I am happy to supply artwork to any businesses in the UK regardless of geography. As long as adequate postage and packing can be paid!

Whether this is some of my London-themed artwork, and all of the hustle and bustle.

Or a Ye-olde old smuggler story or ghost story in Cornwall. Such as the White Hare of Looe.

Or something generally British and which celebrates legends and folklore. I am happy to offer more and share my passion for both our rich and exciting culture and history through various artistic mediums at accessible and affordable prices.

Is there an MOQ for the artisan postcards?

There is, and it is 5 units, 1 unit = 1 postcard. ( So 5 postcards would be the minimum order quantity )

But I would encourage you to buy more than 5 once you factor in postage and packing. Some of my most common numbers are between 10 and 50.

With such a small MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity), even the smallest shops can start selling without the pressure of committing to large volumes. Again, low-risk and enables businesses and galleries to explore and experiment.

Is my business too small for buying wholesale postcards?

No, of course not. I try to cater to businesses of all sizes with flexible batch sizes available in small, medium, or larger quantities. Whether you’re ordering for a small test run or ready to stock across multiple locations, we can grow and expand together. If you are still unsure, consider the MOQ above or buying in smaller patches to test and measure.

If buying wholesale cards in large quantities sounds frightening, don’t let that put you off! Instead, you can buy and sell in smaller runs, which can both lower risk and lower initial outlay. The smaller MOQ today has been for 5 units. Remembering to factor in postage and packaging too.

Buying from overseas – what will it cost?

Due to the ever-changing nature of buying and selling products from faraway lands, I do not have a one-size-fits-all all solution. I would need to review and assess postage costs and viability on a case-by-case basis. I am an individual business after all!

It should be noted however, that due to a postcards size, they may be much more affordable in batchsale for smaller businesses. I am open to businesses across the globe and more than happy to sell my artisan postcards to those interested in buying them. As long as it is viable to do so.

Each country has varying legislation rules and terms that must be adhered to, although this article is UK-focused for now. Opening channels to sell overseas is something I am interested in for.
