The Old Bookshop in Looe. Photography to document the day.

This is more of a general update regarding myself being photographed and represented in Looe. Here I am, holding my prints outside the doorway leading into The Old Book Shop in East Looe. I was ‘Being papped’ in the nicest way possible by Katrina, the owner of the shop.

For those who care to know, some of the artwork on display in The Old Book Shop is the White Hare / Rabbit in postcard form and a set of postcard prints depicting a Cornish Knocker.

I wrote a post on Linkedin recently, declaring that if I had known I would be on camera that day, I would have taken more time over my appearance. Little did I know I would be standing by a shop in Looe, modeling my illustration artwork.

But here you have it, the artist behind the art.

As is, no polish at all, standing with my local art and folklore prints outside the Old Book Shop with a passerby offering sidelong glances wondering what we were up to. ( I would glance too ).

The artwork on show in these photos is currently nestled comfortably alongside classic books, dust, history an eclectic collection of the rare and the obscure.

Below are some photos taken by Katrina on that August bank holiday. ( August 2024 ) A warm day with the sun in my eyes in some captions. Everything that adds to the charm appeal I’m sure.

Honour To Be The Old Bookshop

I’m honoured again to have representation and to have my artwork positioned in a building of historical interest in Looe.

Some of my earliest memories of the artwork being shown to the public originated with some of these buildings in my old stomping grounds.

As mentioned already, much of the artwork on show in The Old Book Shop is ‘local’ in nature.
